Congratulations to our 2018 Grand Champion winner, Biggin's Texas BBQ!
What a day! Our 3rd annual cook-off kicked off with 16 teams battling it out at the Merced County Spring Fair!
New this year was our Backyard Division for Pitmasters, who did not want to compete against the pros. 4 teams accepted the challenge, competing in Tri-Tip and Chicken, and they all did great! Meanwhile, in the Competition Division, the remaining 12 teams proved their talent. For those of you who missed it, something about starting off your day smelling delicious BBQ just makes the day go better!.
Our 3 official judges and 25 People's Choice judges once again struggled to pick their favorites. Everyone was pretty well stuffed by the end of the day! In the end, Biggin's Texas BBQ won the title of Grand Champion!
We would like to say thank you to all the competitors and congratulations to our winners, especially 1st place in each of the categories! It was a pleasure having you at the cook-off! Hope to see you all next year!
